How anyone can try to defend Azam is beyond me it really is. And to be fair to Borthwick you can't see him doing anything to Azam or his ankle other than hold his foot which is flapping around next to his face so I'd say that's fair enough.
Plain and simple nothing justifies kicking someone in the eye, With Azam's previous nobody believes he didn't do it deliberately he's a dirty player, Always has been and will be. And as for appealing a 12 week ban I'd appeal it too it should be 12 months.
to me it looks like he's tried to kick the arm holding his ankle, but missed badly and caught him in the head. Not nice but not as cynical as a 12 week ban!
I disagree, it looks to me like he's lifted his leg up and over, then brought it down on Borthwick's head. If he wanted to make him let go, far easier to kick him in the hand holding his leg than go blindly for an arm - at least you know where the hand is, since you can feel it on your shin. More effective too - hurts like a bitch and breaks his grip very easily.
if you were having your ankle twisted in a direction it shouldn't go then you'd try and free yourself aswell. if azam is getting cited then so should borthwick. if he hadn't of been twisting ollie's ankle then he wouldn't have been injured.

It makes me laugh when people talk about discipline in football and some rugby tosser claims the moral highground.
You never see eye gauging or fake blood in football.
Football is 10000000% cleaner than Rugby, Rugby is a cess pit of depravity.
