Indeed. Not only that, LRH said in his own words at 1:22 that Aleister Crowley was a very good friend of his and he gave Crowley some kudos.

How can The Church of Scientology deny that Hubbard and Crowley had no ties? Lets see Tommy Davis try to lie about that.

Crowley was a hero/inspiration to Hubbard, but,of the two,in my view Hubbard was FAR more evil. It's true Crowley wrecked lives of many people who came within his personal orbit during his lifetime & was an egotist falsely claiming he was egoless as a Buddha - But Crowley's organizations, which still exist today (OTO, A.:.A), were never devised to enslave,control,or exort money from followers-unlike Hubbard's destructive,hypnotic control $y$tem cult. & unlike LRon,Crowley died near-penniless.

Robert Heinlein's first wife, a witch, said after the Babalon Working that Hubbard behaved like a man possessed by one of the darker entities from the Other Worlds stories. This is correct. Jack Parsons, whatever his flaws, was a talented magician, and Hubbard lying to him about his scrying ability got him entry to a Working that was totally out of his league. Whatever possession is, Hubbard experienced it as a result. Please note Scientology is obsessed with disembodied spirits possessing us.

@Bobb9999 You do know Shaitan is also the name given to demons in Islam, and the root of the Christian term "Satan", which didn't exist until after the Crusades. Before the Crusades, the Devil in Christianity was called Lucifer, which translates as "Light Bearer". They had to change it i think, because it discredits the Church some what, if you see what i mean.
