I was very down, depressed and ready to call it quits, and I heard this song. I am a 100% disabled vet living with chronic and constant pain from injuries in desert storm from 1991. From hearing your voices and the guitar, I am asking God to carry me through with the hope that he will.

My life story is nothing like yours but I can tell you my grandpa was a WWII vet and about 5 years ago took his own life after years of post-traumatic stress and pain. I promise you the pain & suffering my family has faced as a result of his decision to end His life against God's will has been far greater than words could ever describe. God must think SO highly of you to believe you can handle such insane challenges. One day my friend, you will not have an ounce of pain left in your body.

My wife and I lost our unborn son this past April... This is one of the songs that have helped bring us healing. (This is the best cover I have seen yet). To all that suffer I would offer this scripture... PSALM 40: 1 I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.
