@amarsekic did you ever installed new windows ? :D if you did go to c:\ and there should be a folder called windows.old next time when you re install it format your hard disk:)

i have problem with losing space on C: disc and i must delete almost everything !
Is that because my HHD drive is conected on secundary sectors,,. i must turn it on secundary sectors because my MAIN sectors are crashed ?? PLS HELP WHAT I NEED TO DO

Hello Mike, first sorry for my bad english. So, i have this problem about the disk. I am still fresh in this computer things so i dont know a lot about computer. Ok, here i have some problem about this thing. First, my computer show me warning about disk failure and error. Then, i follow your step how to fix it.After i run check disk,computer show me that my disk clean from error.But at the first computer startup,it show 'SMART hard disk error'.So now what im gonna to do?Replace it or fix it?

chkdsk stops at 27 % now what should i do?? plz help
my hard drive said i had 145 gbs before and now it went down to 98 kbs now its randomly switching to mbs and i need help please i had to delete almost all my stuff now

@thesnipaassassin For those of you losing disk space, if you had a problem already (like noises coming off the drive), and now lose space after running CHKDSK, you very likely have bad sectors. Follow the instructions on checking the CHKDSK log in Windows Event Viewer and start backing up files immediately. You could be facing imminent disk failure.

Can anyone tell me why did my pc did this process automatically? I didnt run the commad console, but when I restarted my computer for some reason this process took place.!!?

@madhawarock This process will be initiated by the operating system if it detects possible problems with the drive while you are using the OS. It will schedule a chkdsk on the following boot. This is done on occasion to confirm the drive is clean.
