  • This is an excellent piece. Thanks to all who participated in its making and production.

    I do, however, have a bone to pick regarding the characterization of rhetoric as epistemic. I teach undergrads and doctoral students and I maintain with them that a physical wall, e.g., a fence, is rhetorical. It is rhetorical because discourse brought the fence into being, i.e., someone thought the fence was a good idea or was needed, etc. And, yes, the fence is then interpreted by all those who view it.
