@puzzlemaker77 I'm close to a coast but I've never caught shrimp. I'm new to cooking and I wanna save money on shrimp by cooking them myself. I want to boil them with the shells on, de-vein, and serve. Half the fun is removing the shell while eating. It lets the meal last longer!

I like to get into the tail part too... very good video, thanks for sharing!

I want to prepare it so the shell is still on, but the vein is gone. I'm amazed at how many variations of recipes there are.

@YesWeCantaloupe So, you want to leave the shell on and remove the vein? There's only one way I know to do this, and that is catch your own shrimp and immediately head them. Do you live near the coast? We used to catch our own shrimp and head them right away. When you do this, the vein comes out when you remove the head - the shell stays on. Other than that, I don't know a way. Unless you are talking about simply leaving on the tail section (some folks to this to leave a "handle").
