When youre weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
Im on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When youre down and out,
When youre on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
Im sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

  • @Teztost3rpwn Uhm, people actually LIVE there. It's not just people's "vacation homes". Are you kidding me? I live just south of Houston and I know if I could afford a vacation house, it would not be in Galveston. What an incredibly insensitive thing to say.

  • Because it is home.

  • @Teztost3rpwn

    Agree.

  • @pinoypangit Valid point. However I see the situation as "if you can afford 2 mortgages you can afford to lose one"

  • @Teztost3rpwn

I did not say anything about being rich, poor or tax breaks. I just saying that some owners of those houses that got flooded probably worked their butt off to have their house on the island. In 2002, houses with canals in the Quintana area cost at the average of $159,000. Some as low as $92,000. A simple nurse or a simple industrial technician can afford it. Take a tour to the island. You'll be surprised.

  • @pinoypangit

not really no... when are people in this country gonna stop defending the rich people which are set out to keep YOU down!! dont you get it! Tax breaks on the wealthy. corporate loopholes. rating agencies etc etc... The rich wallstreeters caused this recession we're still in SINGLEHANDEDLY! the middle class suffers while they still get bonuses! Fuck open you're eyes! Very few rich people actually made their fortunes off of "hard work" many of them just got lucky!

  • @Teztost3rpwn ...did it even occur to you that they probably worked their butt off to have it???

  • ohh how sad.... the rich people lost their vacation homes.. how terribly sad.

  • Oh well

  • :32 i remember seeing that photo. i cant believe that house made it
