Miches, Dominican Republic, ESEG-MDG Initiative - Part 01

I am from Miches.
My family owns land in the beachfront.
The whole area is selling and is becoming another part of tourism of my country.
Miches is so beautiful it hurts.

This is one of the best hidden secret as far as beuty.If any body take some time to go to Dominican Republic will find out that we have some of the best places of vacation spot, Miches unlike Punta Cana is still a gold mine that will soon be discovered. I'm Benny Amparo I was born in Miches D.R some people remember me as pro boxer in the early 90, I want to say thank to Prof. Don Melnick for taking the time to show the world this unknown beauty on the way he has done it.

Benny. Have you heard and understood the video? Obviously you didn't get the point.
I find marvelous that you feel passion and you cherish the beauty and major natural qualities of Miches, but the intention, Benny, is NOT to propel the idea of Miches as a "gold mine-vacation spot" and to show the world this "unknown beauty". The fact is that this beauty is suffering from a lack of infrastructure. Allowing the EXPLOITATION from the tourism industry to happen will just worsen the case.

I saw the video and I understood it but I fail to explain myself; when I meant Miches is a gold mine. I'm not calling for powerful people to Exploited, Which happens before in our country. I'm just saying that who own the gold should not be suffering misery. Our Dominican government has forgotten about Miches and the resources are less every day. solution is thought negotiation with people that want to invest in Miches. [These investors must understand the needs of Miches as well as the people

I spent my summers as a kid there and loved it. One of the best unknown beaches in the country "LA PLAYA ARRIBA" and as far as I know a "PUNTA MEDINA" is the only place that has a variety of rocks not seen no other place in the country..The U.S. is my country but this is my town...Pueblo Mio...Love to all that have made this place so special for me. I was born and raise in Miches and I know the paradise we have. Hope someday someone do somethin for our town, very good documentary!
