  • I'm American and I'd like a decent trailer. Thank you Spanish speaking folks for letting me know this movie doesn't suck as much as this trailer would have otherwise led me to believe. But, yeah, I expect HBO to be cultural imperialist and sexist too...

  • @EssBeeEee wow.

  • i mentioned translation in a figurative sense, not in terms of subtitles or dubbing. the american movie industry thinks people in this continent are unable to relate to other cultures & time periods. thus they make slanted trailers like this or they butcher brilliant timeless films by spewing out remakes. a good example is wertmuller's "swept away". it's a tight movie about politics & gender, what did mariangela melato's great performance miss that made madonna think she should shit all over it?

  • i think translating is not as abhorrent as you seem to implying, i mean if the movie is good, i would like to understand it in the language that i speak, if thats spoon-feeding, then i don't see a problem with it.

  • there has to be a way of stopping america from translating everything into their square vocabulary. why must they spoon-feed everybody?
