  • i have a lot of wood working experience building custom furniture and organ cases and thinking about guitar making, on a scale of 1-10 what was the learning curve on your first guitar?

  • I'd say about a 4. 1 being the easiest. It really wasn't that hard and the extent of my woodworking background is 7th grade shop for the most part. I am a decent artist with great attention to detail so I'm sure that helps. Just take your time and don't rush it and you should come out with a great guitar.

  • now i know not to throw away my old bike tubes....

  • Hi,

Great videos. Thanks! Question: I am about to glue up my sound box, and am wondering if you have any tips for avoiding/medeating/cleaning glue sqeeze-out after you glue on the back. With the top there is still plenty of access, but with the back you are only left with the sound hole for clean up of potentially cured glue. My thought is that this back squeeze-out could be difficult to prevent or clean. Did you experience what I am speculating? Thanks in advance for any inside information.

  • thanks for sharing :)))

  • ever thought of using your gobar deck to close the box up? a simple caul to match the back is all you need.

  • lol, that was funny when you put out the match! LOL now i wanna try it with my acoustic! lol!

  • its ok. i found some vids on youtube that show it!!

  • can you show us some chisel and plane blade sharpening?
