Clips of my DIY 1 watt firefly tube amp using Celestion gold, Celestion g12-65, Eminence GB128, and 2x12 variations of these speakers. Guitar set to Seymour Duncan JB bridge.
I play blues, and i have 2xG12-65 -8ohm models, and they are just the sweetest things in the world for that kind of music. on 50W head (homemade).
It sounds just beautiful.. mellow, open, just great. be advised that they need 100 hours of playing at medium levels to work out the cones before cranking high..
Is the g12 65 vented through the rear of the magnet?

The Gold sounds awesome....wow! That's my #1. Next choice would be the G12-65...very nice.

The Gold all the way.it's creamier and I like how the notes bloom.

@tangypasta if it's loud enough to hear recorded... it's loud enough (it's NOT a stage amp)
