Just showing you how to create a better mold using InstantMold and legos. I also rant like an idiot as usual but that's only because the voices in my head has so much to say...

  • I would think you would get some warping from pushing hard into the mold after you've made it. That not a problem?

  • @hobonosho12 It depends entirely on how thick you make the mold. When you handpress a mold this can be a problem as the InstantMold can have different thickness's in many different areas as you press it onto the object you want to replicate.

With the technique I show in this video this is less of a problem as the Instantmold will retract back into shape.

InstantMold is very rigid at 5mm or more, if you make it 1-2mm it's very flexible and susceptible to the problem you mentioned.

  • You could always transfer the boiling water into the coffee pot to keep the water warm.

  • One technique I like to do for greenstuff is after breaking off the pieces, try to make them into a round ball, or a little square, to see if they're about the same size before mixing them together.
