I still haven't found if her accused killer, Bobby Buckner, has gone to trial. He had not as of April 2009. Tha's over 6 long years - justice delayed is justice denied ....

It seems like so long ago... I had a few classes with her at DeRenne... I still remember the phone call my mom got and how she turned around and asked me when was the last time I had seen Ashleigh... It was a horrible tragedy.

Even though Buckner was indicted for Ashleigh's murder in 2007, I haven't been able to find whether he has gone to trial yet. I figure his lawyers are using every trick to postpone the trial. - KWH

The Chatham County grand jury Wednesday, May 13, 2009, reindicted Bobby Lavon Buckner on murder and related charges in the 2003 abduction and slaying of Ashleigh Moore, 12.

It's beyond words what happned to this baby at the hand's of her mother's liv-in boyfriend. Single mothers ought to be more cautious and check every database available to find out what type of person they may be dealing with. For this man to be a convicted child molester, he should have NEVER EVER been allowed into this woman's house and around her girls. It's sick and and it's sad Oh My God....

Buckner was convicted of child molestation in 1996 and was not allowed to be alone with girls under the age of 16.
During a hearing, several young teenagers admitted on the stand to having consensual sex with Buckner. Some even said he gave them drugs and alcohol. Was this guy her mother's boyfriend? Poor Baby..Rest In Peace Babygirl...Chicago
