ya know I am far from young(29 seems old to me) but I got alot of respect for older cars cause I grew up around them since my uncles was always into something automotive and ya know it's also cause when I was maybe 5 I used to dress as a mechanic and want to work on cars even at that age..someday I will own a ratrod till then I will watch and learn

I understand completely but keep on doing what you do.

I have been into classic cars seems like since day one.I like the look of older vehicles. The creativity that goes into these ratrods is cool.

Well said. As a younger guy myself it's hard to fit in at some of those kind of events. Even being that I mostly go to the the diesel truck events (tho I go to as many classic cars events I can too) it's hard to fit in with a 15 year old mostly-stock truck. Yea, I've put some money into it, but most guys out there have much more money invested and are at least 10-20 years older. But at the same time, that's what's great about the car community, it brings all types together to enjoy the hobby.

great video an I appreciate the inspiration. I have a buddy with a Ford ranger same body style as that one at the car show. He blew up his engin a while back an as soon as we pull a few things off it the body is mine!! I cant wait to start cutting it up!!!

You couldn't describe it much better than you did. I'm glad to see people building outside of the box, working with what they have and don't have to build something that they feel represents coolness! I've talked to a lot of hot rodders from the old days that claim original hot rods were built like today's rats in the sence that they too built with what was available. Look in the old hot rod Books and you will see rats. Many with fancy paint but still rats! Examples; the munster cars, grampas

preachin to the choir. :D reminds me of that guy and his brass coated t-bucket. sure, it might now break down on him, but he had to wear gloves to wipe it down, and he sure didnt appreciate me at all :D rat roddin is a lifestyle i suppose. a mindset. if i had a 100,000 dollar car, i'd ruin it in a week. thered be old chili dog wrappers and coffee cups and crap all over it. :D but by god i would drive it.
the reason why they dont like your car is because ,they put 20- 30k in there cars ,and then you go to a show ,and every one pile's up around your car ,do think they would drive down an old road ,and drag a pc. of metal out of the woods and throw it up in the back of there truck or car

I HEAR YA!! I thought it was just me that got excited about seeing some young people. Recently at the street rod nationals, I seen a couple and had to look twice. They were sporting their tatoos but they were dressed for the event in cool leathers and vintage clothing. He had his James Dean hair slicked back and it was awesome to see. They were ratrodding too but went even beyond and put the clothing with it. It was cool! Almost like time travel to 50's.
