@anintals Brian couldn't have beat his wife since he never married. :P There are, however, witnesses that say he did beat three of his girlfriends - Linda, Anita and Suki. He could be a violent bastard towards his women when on drugs (since Pat and Anna claim he never beat them)...sadly not that uncommon among rock n roll stars.

"Hearsay" does not mean made up. It is clear that you have little or no understanding of what constitutes evidence. Hearsay means something stated by a third party, not you or the person you are accusing (in this case Brian Jones). As for anything being "a rather well known fact", it was believed by everybody but a few people like me that the earth was flat. This did not make their assumption correct. Is there any reliable, impartial corroborative evidence from doctors, social workers, etc?

@Galericulus Hearsay? Are you suggesting all these sources of information were made up? It's actually a rather well known fact that Brian Jones beat his wife on many occasions. You clearly haven't researched any of this and so your argument holds no grounds. I wasn't around for the Rodney King beating, heard that through second hand sources, guess I would be a fool to presume that ever happened as well. You're an 'idiot' for arguing over something you have little to no knowledge off. Shame.
-
@anintals As I suspected, nothing but hearsay evidence from dubious sources, secondhand, thirdhand or worse. As for your rude and ignorant non sequitur in the last sentence, you have demonstated yourself who is the idiot.
-
@Galericulus I have read bibliographies as well as autobiographies from people who have worked with and/or lived with the rolling stones, as well as from members from the rolling stones themselves. I'm a big fan, read many articles and have heard audible accounts from brian jones' wife. I've made no assumptions, but if you're implying that because I was not there first hand to see brian jones physically beat his wife, then I can only assume, well, you're an clearly an idiot.

@devoymoe And where is your evidence for these allegations?
-
@anintals Based on what evidence? Did you actually see this yourself? If you didn't, then it is only rumour, speculation or assumption.
-
@devoymoe Charlie Watts has compared Brian with John Lennon saying that they both could be funny and nice guys but that they had a pretty cruel side to them. Brian was a mess emotionally but he wasn't as horrible as the glimmers wants us to believe. If they mean what they say then why were they friends with him and why do they turn pale when being asked about him today? Brian's darker and a self destructive side has been exaggerated particularly by Keith for reasons unknown (Anita?).

He seems quite pleasant and nice in this short clip , of course that tells nothing , but I've read a good bit about the band and he was apparently a very nasty person at times. I know paper never refuses ink , but all writings seem to suggest he was horrible , mean , nasty and cruel to a lot of people
