Lord Byron's Luggage

Yet another Zevon song. This one is Desmond. As with Prison Grove for Sayid and Poor Poor Pitiful Me for Sawyer, the lyrics are spookily accurate.

You moron. He just calls the guy Mr. Johnson to imply that the guy is a dick. A literal dick doesn't try to be more like someone and it isn't hard on family. Why don't you try listening to the song before you put your head in the gutter?

A dick/"Mr. Johnson" can literally run a mans' life. Hence, he is "trying to be like me". He is hard on his friends and family because his "Mr. Johnson" was running the show, so to speak. No mind in the gutter, just the truth.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that whole verse is him talking about himself...since he was such a sex addict and it ruined (was hard on) a lot of his personal/family relationships...perhaps you should read his book (very good)....of course lyrics are always open to interpretation...and people can believe whatever they want about them (that is the point...and doesn't mean they are a moron...most artists want people to relate to it however they please and thats why they don't spell it out for you)....

so I'm pretty sure jonwayne and postpaleo are fine in their interpretations, and you would be the moron for thinking they're wrong...I'm sure Warren would agree.... :)
