Can I use my iPhone with these headphones?
-
Hi, I just got this today, i so wish that i view the review before buying, I listened to audio book a lot and that choppy sound, partial words thing REALLY bothered me. seriously. I found that switching the attenuator to 0dB helps a bit, but still pretty rubbish.

@MusicIsMyLifeXD100 probably does with ipod touches cuz its got blue tooth

@TheCazzyG I got the RS 170 and and they're not portable but you can use them with portable devices such as ipods when you're at home. The wireless portable ones are the RS 160. They have a small wireless transmitter that works with AA batteries and you can put the transmitter in your backpack for example and connect the audio cable from the transmitter into your audio device to use the wireless headset with it. I prefer in-ear headsets because I found the RS 160 pretty big for mobile use.

Is the base portable? How do you plug in your audio input?

Do these headphones works for ipods? And if so, how?

@LED22ZEPPELIN They are IR Signal not RF like the Sennheiser. Based on this I would recommend these.

I was going to buy these but I didn't like the part about switching off at the quiet scenes of a movie... Does that happen a lot and did you find a way to fix it?
directino 1 year ago
@directino Can't do anything about it, it all depends on the content you play, its not terrible but its one of the minor disadvantages of the wireless.

Sorry the rs 170s didn't work exactly the way it wanted for you. Have you tried plugging them into the green port behind your motherboard/into sound card as opposed to the front headphone jack? Or lowering/muting the Line In on your PC? These problems create static/hissing for me, though these are things that occur even with the corded headphones I've tried. If you haven't tried these methods yet I'd think they'd help a lot. I have rs 180s and have had no hissing problems.

@geezgoddamn Yes, i tried both through PC In and Headphone jack. Let me clear this up the hissing is not noticeable at all up to 65% Volume on the actual headset (so increasing the volume on the headset) after that you notice some background noise, not something to be put of buying the headset but just a small thing which shouldn't be there considering the price tag associated with these headsets.
