  • FYI, the name of the song is actually "Letting Go". It's also the title of her new album, due out in May 2010.

  • @nolefan32 At the time I posted this, the title was Let Go according to her MySpace. I would change it now, but thanks for letting us know about the name change!

  • Have a download link per chance? Of course I am going to buy whatever she puts out, I would just love to have the song on my ipod touch. She's putting out another song today!! Check out her myspac!! Thanks!!

  • I dont have one! :( I wish I did.

  • @ikaikaboy7 She's going mainstream because the Christian community is so biased and cruel on the subject of homosexuality. If the Christian community opened up and did as Jesus did, by not judging others, then there would be no reason for her to feel as if she needs to go mainstream. More power to her and may God bless her in all she does.

  • Nothing but love ....

So stoked that my all time favorite voice is singing again ... For all to hear !

  • @KOHandrich You're right. I apologize for including all Christians in my statement. It's a shame that the actions of a few right wing conservatives can ruin the view of an entire religion.

  • @djduchess Please don't treat the christian community like it's this monolithic thing. While the contemporary christian music community tends to be more evangelical and seeing homosexuality as a sin, many of our traditions and denominations view this very differently. The UCC, Episcopal church and ELCA (Lutheran) are denominations where gay and lesbian people in commited relations are ordained as pastors.

  • I think it's a great song and the songwriting is amazing, but I think that the arrangement doesn't really do the song much justice.. It's just too much sort of cliche rock. I like the couple of acoustic live versions that you can find here and there much better. It's a really raw - emotion song so it packs a much more effective punch when stripped down of all pretension. Just my 2 cents..

  • @djduchess Hello Duchess, Uright I am not the one who judges.Jesus is the righteous judge like you said.we can't pick and choose what we like and don't like out of the bible. I love what God loves and I hate what God hates. (Yes God says to hate the sin and love the sinner) I have a brother that is gay. I love him with all my heart. But God warns in 1 Corinthians 6: 9,10 Homosexuals will NOT inherit the kingdom of God. I didn't say it, I'm not the judge girl. I pray God blesses JK too duchess.

  • Did everyone read the interview with her lesbian coming out the closet statement? She mentioned Christianity is her roots but that she's going mainstream now...:( Nooooo..I know we are all tempted but she's a roll model to my wife!!

  • This is totally unrelated, but "hey, dad". Ha ha.
