  • Sound great i wanna up grade my sound system. please explain how you are powering this with a 30 amp generator when your amps are drawing almost 100 amps. Is your charging system still hold up?

  • @Tabossco Hi Tabossco, and thanks for taking the time to comment! Ok, luckily for me, this is just a 'hobby car' and not a daily driver. I have the biggest battery i could physically put under the rear seat, and if i charge it just before a vw show, it will happily run for about 3 or 4 hours until the sub amp starts cutting out. I carry a spare 'starter battery' on the opposite side under the rear seat just in case it drains to the point that i can't start the car!

  • One day i'd like to swap out the generator for an alternator, but for now, as long as it all powers up and runs, it will have to make do. :)
