"The intoxicating vision of being under the blade of the medicine man."
made in 1999 this 16mm animated film was created by nate longcope. It is an example of nate's syncronisity in his art making. The experimental animation was first a disaster with over exposed sections of the film. But under the tutorledge of Martha Colburn, nate used india ink over the over exposed sections of the film creating the web like fractured vision you see at the begining of the film. The audio sound track was created almost a year before the film and it was only discovered much later through trial and error that the audio and visuals matched up as they do. The musical score was created by Steve Ackerman, Nate Longcope and Daniel Hipolito.
It is a great example of the late 90's experience of San Francisco.
