I see, thanks!
I hadn't noticed the tuning staff before. Had a look and re-tuned my santur accordingly.
However, I've got 2 more (hopefully) final questions;
1) On the 7th note (F) on the "bam" side, the "koron" is in brackets, what does that mean? A quarter note maybe?
2) As I understand it, a "koron" is "half minor". Now how would that look on a chromatic tuner? Is it "minor+" or "minor-"?
I appreciate the feedback and major apologies for the questions...

It does. They are just used in their neutral forms. The charts at the end of most santur books help you tune your santur correctly.

A bit confused here.. does Persian music not have any C, F or G notes?
I tuned my santur according to the notes offered and it sounds "off".
-
Yes, if you have done that at least once under supervision before.
-
Wonderful.. will I be able to tune my santur with a chromatic tuner?
-
Yes to the first question.
Semi and quartertones that we normally use in santur: E flat, E semi-flat; F sharp; A flat, A semi-flat; B flat, B semi-flat; D flat, D semi-flat; E flat, E semi-flat. [semi-flat=koron, semi-sharp=sori].

@koby24 I have no idea at all.

1. bracket means it's optional.
2. Dkoron is about 40% lower than D in a chromatic tuner.
