LG's LHX Series LCD TV uses a S-IPS LCD panel with edge-lit LED backlight. It looked incredibly nice at the CES show floor and as you can see from the video it is very thin. The video was taken by Kodak's Zi6 pocket video camera and the quality came out quite nice (had to make sure the video processing software was tweaked just right).
