Ricochet's first foray into Speed Retrieve and Extreme Vertical. We also signed up for Big Air at the last minute. She performed very well and was totally exhausted at the end of the day!

Big Air - 1st place in her wave at 21' 2"

Speed Retrieve - 4th in her group, then 2nd in finals with an awesome time of 6.215 seconds!

Extreme Vertical - I wasn't sure how well she would do and really hadn't seen the competition before, so we started at 5' 0", then took 8 jumps to get to 5' 10" where we ran into some other dogs, so she jumped pretty much on her own for the majority of the time. She was wiped out, but gave two great attempts at 6' 0" before bowing out. Next time we'll have a better idea of how to handle EV.

  • Field Goldens are the best! Still so lovable but, at least with this one, also with a TON of drive!

  • You guys totally rock with your Ricochet! I am the owner of Windy, another Field Bred Golden Retriever out of Northern California. I wanted you to know that I grew up and lived in the Chicago area all my life since I moved to California in 1985. I grew up in Downers Grove and had my Dog Grooming Shop in Algonquin/Crystal Lake until I moved here, and now I'm into Field Goldens!

  • Thats what I thought. I think we have chatted a bit recently!

  • She is also in the San Diego area.

  • She totally loves the water! She's been constantly jumping into the pool since I opened it at the end of April. Doesn't care one bit that the water temp hasn't been over 65 degrees.

    Where is Mira's littermate living?

  • Wow! She looked like she was going to jump out of the pool on that first one. Awesome jumping!! Mira has a littermate named Ricochet!
