  • I was 7 when this came out, but it has been stuck in my head ever since !

  • From Wikipedia: At the time the song was written, Jerry Samuels was a recording engineer at Associated Recording Studios in New York. Using a device called a variable-frequency oscillator (VFO), he was able to alter the pitch of a recording (voices higher or lower, for example) without changing the tempo. From this came the idea for a song based on the rhythm of the old Scottish tune "The Campbells Are Coming". Also Kim Fowley released a cover of the song as his second single, after "The Trip."

  • I'm sure Napoleon XIV(Jerry Samuels) got the idea for this song after listening to the 1947 recording "Hooray Hooray I'm Going Away" by Beatrice Kay. Very similar lyrical content about being taken away by the "men in the white coats" and she even mentions a fellow asylum inmate who goes by the name of "Napoleon"

  • Yup back to the VA

  • @VinylFun This was composed/written/and done by Kim Fowley in 1966..... As for my aknowledge not by Jerry Samuels, correct me if Im wrong

  • Not many people know that on the B side, at around 40 seconds into the song there's a demonic message that most people miss relating to the US President Lyndon B. Johnson. Only about 30% of people can hear it because it's to do with how the brain processes and understands sounds. Unfortunately if you belong to the 70% who haven't got the correct neural connections, there's nothing you can do that will make you hear it. The message that is on the B side is only a few seconds long and this is what

  • They ruined the original video with plastered comments of vulgar language

  • this song fits the republicans today

  • I love It.....

  • i swear i heard a quick skip at 30...i don't remember anything happening so suddenly
