Allah(god) send revelation to prophets time to time to guide ppl to worshiping him, the only one god,, abraham, moses, jesus and the final messenger mohamad teach the same message¬worshiping only one god,, not statue(pagan) not human(chistianity/pharoah ect) not sun, not fire(persian) and nothing can allied with him,,
@mitchTwitch - Just because you label something abuse not everyone does. Abuse wasn't even a general term until recent history. Was slavery considered abuse to the general public a few hundred years ago - No. Just because your narrow mind choose to look at things from a very limited perspective that doesn't mean it is right or even close to what is right. I think noob. You should try it more frequently.
@mitchTwitch - I agree this story of an actual event should definitely be taught to our children and teach that whatever God commands is acceptable. Make sure it is God tho first. A sure way to know if is God or not is to first become a member of His church and then seek the guidance of the Holy Ghost through righteous living - aka keeping the commandments.
Yes indeed it was Satan. God said there are only two Gods. He is the one true God and the rest are Satanic no matter the label.
@rockstarMileyCyrus and just because its someone elses god doesnt make it satan, satan is apart of your faith, not the ancient Egyptians. they called him Amen.
@mitchTwitch - Abraham learned how hard it was for God to sacrifice His son for all of us. I think it was a difficult way to be taught this doctrine and concept but I know God intended the message to sink deep into Abraham's heart. I am so grateful for stories like these that teach us how difficult it was for both Jesus Christ and God the Father to let the atonement happen. This shows what great love they have for all of us.
@mitchTwitch - So when Isaac, Abraham's son finally grew up Abraham was asked to do the same thing his father tried to do to him. The son was willing to lay down on the alter willingly. Just like Jesus Christ was willing to sacrifice his life for all of us his brothers and sisters in the Atonement and Crucifixion. Both times the Lord stopped the sacrifice from happening with the aid of an angel. There was no abuse just a lesson to be learned about Christ's sacrifice for all of us. Peace.
@mitchTwitch -Are you completely unaware that God uses symbolism? Since you bring up the topic I will be glad to explain it to you in the way God would have you learn. Abraham was the son of an Egyptian Priest who tried to do the same thing when Abraham was a boy. His father attempted to kill him as a sacrifice to the Egyptian Gods (aka Satan). Abraham was very old when he finally had his son Isaac. It was a great trial of his faith to wait so long for a son to pass on his name and priesthood.
@rockstarMileyCyrus I like the story with this dude call Abraham i think. he would physically abuse his child by tying him to an alter and holding a knife to his throat. If you do that today we put you in jail. Im sure there is some religious moral story underneath but seriously, If you tell children this story you are justifying child abuse because of voices in your head.
