This, Bye, Bye Love and There Will Be Some Changes Made are my fave production numbers of the movie.

I love her coughing on the smoke and then trying to walk in heels without falling down, like a child playing dress-up in Mommy's closet. Her desire to grow up as soon as possible and do everything that's exciting is such a parallel to her father's life.

My best friend MAry and I went with her dad to see this when it came out in 79'. We were both 13. It tripped us out! But I loved the music then and she was getting into singing at the time. My parents took me to see my first Broadway play in San Francisco that year,too. Some incredible music in this film!
