North Korea TV picked up in South Korea using small PAL-system mini TV set near the DMZ separating North from South, in February 2005. (3) In this clip there is footage of "Great Leader" Kim Jong il, and the announcer's voice goes crazy in adulation, over the simplest of things such as the "Great Leader" taking one of his 'on the spot' guidance tours to shout orders at dumb peasants or lowly military men.

  • As I think I said, if one possess the correct credentials, one can in fact view such broadcasts in the ROK. For radio broadcasts, there is blocking technology. However for television signals, generally speaking, there is not. One simply needs to have the non-NTSC TV verson to see it...which would be probably rather rare in the South. Also, the nature of North Korean TV does not fool anyone in the South because of the patent lies; the reverse is not the case, for Northerners to see/hear the ROK.

  • great leader??? are you a north korean spy in south korea?

  • sure, what do YOU think!? /sarcasm

Now what kind of stupid question is that?

  • You do know you get caught if the Intelligence Office finds out that you're watching this propaganda TV from the North, right?

  • not if within a foreign diplomatic facility or a US military base

  • north korea gets 60hz gaming and south doesnt? rofl

  • I would like to know why you a person in South Korea would get arrested for watching North korean TV if it comes in through the air. If it was against the law isn't there any technology that would stop it from getting through???. I am sure that the North have something to stop people from watching the Souths tv programs.
