One of the things many people do whilst in Key West is to go on the Glass-bottom Boat, which takes people out to the Coral Reef.
The ride out to the reef takes about 25 mins, as it is situated 7 miles off shore from Key West. Once at the reef, passengers are invited to go downstairs to the observation area. The tour is narrated by an expert in marine biology and who knows the reef like the back of his hand.
On this particular day, a storm was brewing and the ride out to the reef was very rocky indeed.
