Displayed are 58 Mechs, Battle Armor, and Infantry demonstrating some capabilities of standard and directional jump jets available in MekTek's MechPak 4 for MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries.

Some of the Mechs have unique jump jet sound effects that either relate to their name or just their sheer size in the case of some of the Assault Mechs. Each is shown on a separate map as described below:

  • What was the map At 1:37?

  • @iheartslimshady

The green grid map is called CGI. The full Mech and map list is seen in expanding the video description.

Forgot to include the Shadow Hawk when this video was made, and as of the most recent MW4 Mercs free release version .0029 the Linebacker is also available, so currently there are 60 Mechs and Battle Armor that can carry jump jets out of 128 available to pilot.

  • LOLed when the mechs fell when they're running. Does that happen ?

  • It is possible for a Mech to fall depending on the terrain and level of impact upon landing from a jump. Sometimes the jump ends in a crouch upon landing.

  • It's kinda late to be asking, but will the mechs in MP4 fall in more than one direction? They only seem to fall on their faces on never on their backs, despite what direction they're being shot from. Like, if a mech walking backwards is shot in the front (CT, LT, RT, not legs) it should fall backward, right?

oh, and i loled at the Wildcat jumpjet sound

  • Likely would require new animations to be created in order to have multiple falling directions based on direction of weapon impacts.

  • @RaptorRage79 Linebacker was a really good addition to MW4. Finally some serious weapons on high speed chassis

  • how do direconal jump jets plz help

  • Amazingly the Behemoth can fly.

  • @392redienhcs You have a point, but don't forget this was made quite awhile ago, so not everything was as good back then.

  • @runindry Me to, reminded Me of the Kodiak from The Ghost Bear's legacy intro when it attacked the Smoke Jaguar Vulture

  • These directional jj look cool and all but really now, it's not canon.

I don't fully agree with the classic jj in MW4 either - they stop firing at the top of the jump, which would bury the mech into the ground on the way back down, or if not, the torso will pancake the legs, or the legs impales the torso like a bad horror movie.

The directional jjs are even worse. They allow your mech to travel laterally faster than its top speed - and what's to stop it from tumbling on landing.
