Tutorial: Terraria Inventory Editing And Character Editing!

TerrariViewer — http://terrariviewer.codeplex.com/releases

Below is a step-by-step tutorial for anyone confused:

1. Download the required program, TerrariViewer
2. Create a new character or use an existing character
3. Edit what you want
4. Save the character

Then you're good to go with your character. Do of course make sure you're on the main menu before you do save your character, or it will not work!

that tool doesnt work anymore cuz of 1.1.2 when i try to open a character file it either instantly crashes or shows only random negative numbers in the item slots :/
