Musical Freestyle Dance Faceoff with Jessie-Beginner

Here is our entry for Hunkymonkeykaine's Dec 2009 freestyle contest.

There are 13 moves in this 1 minute 19 sec piece. It was the first time we had put the verses & chorus all together so the blocking (placement) of some moves is off as is the flow. But it's a starting point. We will continue to work on this and will post a video of the finished product at a later date. We appreciate all the ideas and constructive feedback that will help us make our first routine the best it can be!

@azmauigirl Thanks. We've taken a break from this for now but are applying the idea of chaining a series of behaviors to Rally O. I think this might be a calmer, less stressful entry into dog sports for Jessie. She loves the chaining of behaviors together in our driveway!

5*! This was such a beautiful example of true communication, bond and teamwork. Jessie's zoom was my favorite part of the routine trickwise; the bond you two share is just beautiful:)!

Thank you. I was quite amazed after watching how much Jessie actually tunes into me. A huge improvement just since we started training for this faceoff! She is managing to resist more distractions too! Overall, a great experience for us both! Thank you for this momentum!

I hope you video your idea for the Rally O behaviours. I would love to see this. I'm always looking for ideas to do with my dogs. We don't compete in anything, but just for fun and to keep them mentally stimulated and active.

Trememdous! Also love your retrieving video, especiall since we have a Flattie. We do Dummy and Freestyle, although not competitively. I really would like to do Therapy Dog with her and use the Freestyle tricks and routines as an introduction to the Patients and other people. She can do most all without treats, but gets impatient and then starts improvising ;-) Anyway, love your videos! 5*****
