  • Found 'my motherland' english translated lyrics on wiki, did not mention the USA or China, did not even mention that there was a war between them, not the slightest hint. Americans can even translate the lyrics and sing it as their own patriotic song if they want. To me the lyrics can be used for any patriotic song for any country.

  • screw all the hatred, I am proud of Lang Lang, because he's from the same city as me in China. I sang this song at my school for my final and all the voice teachers said they liked it very much. there's nothing political related, so stfu, haters, and if you dont like the video, gtfo

  • @looxgood how can a retard possibly know about this song?

  • 在美國人的地方彈奏反美樂曲,還得到掌聲,哈

  • Stop being so judgemental! This is like the best song ever and it's not anti American in that context.

  • what an amazing remix!lang lang is a genious, he really captures the original songs melody and makes it glorious and shows china's glory and beauty so well.

  • @burjazz Obama didn't get punked. He probably agrees with the sentiment.

  • 讓我想起以前一件衣服 叫"白人看不懂" 這首歌叫 "白人聽不懂" ^_^

  • 朗朗好樣的, 把它們嘲笑了一通, 他們還鼓掌耶!!!

  • The film this song comes from is heart-stirring, but is also nationalistic and anti-U.S. Though this performance is instrumental (no pun intended), the line from the original lyrics -- 若是那豺狼来了迎接它的有猎枪 ("if the wolves come, we will meet them with a shotgun") is still used to stir up anti-U.S. sentiment, and Chinese people know this. In another context, it might be totally innocent, but at a White House VIP performance for Hu Jintao, it definitely conveyed its political sentiment. Bad song choice.

  • 这个曲子选得好!

    The song is chosen well!

  • @tky574 'my motherland' was composed in 1956 and it is the theme for the movie Shang Gan Ling which is about the war in Korea, so it is about US and China, in some sense! But I think we can also interpret it non-politically. Everyone should love their motherland! government and motherland are not the same thing.
