So, does everything works on X301? My Ubuntu 7.10 can not dim my screen light. And it just suck very hard that Lenovo no longer support linux. You can not get a pre install machine if you are not buy bunch of their laptop.

Everything works fine except the fingerprint reader which doesn't have drivers (but I don't care, I don't use it). Note that by tweaking the BIOS the TOTAL boot time is now of 25 seconds instead of 37.

Very speedy boot time for a Linux desktop OS. Is that the stock SSD available from Lenovo?
