In our town we had also this myth an my friends and i decided do investigate*Challenge Accepted*! We found it! It was a eerie green creature that made weird sounds and produced a ugly gas. It was in some kind of metal container. As we closed in we noticed that it was a homeless living in a trash can of an factory for green paint *Close Enough*^^

I'm whatching this episode in hope to learn why the original depiction of the Flatwoods Moster as some kind of robot, which Freddie May describes at 4:00, was droped in favour of that totally diferent looking reptile thing.
It's not like you can just retcon the appearance of aliens or cryptids. Something's clearly wrong with this case, and it's not the sighting itself.
