100 ml of room temperature water is placed in a beaker. A mixture of dry ice and rock salt is placed around the outside of the beaker, slowly freezing the water. As the water freezes and we see ice forming from the edge of the beaker and grows toward the center.

  • wHATS THE BLUE STUFF??

  • The blue is water in the beaker (clear water on a blue table). Room temperature water was put in our beaker and dry ice and salt were put around the outside of the glass. The dry ice is so cold, it freezes the water. You can see the ice slowly form from the edge of the glass inward.
