I hope it does get ported up if it really is a Wii title; I live in Japan and all my consoles are Japanese so I could play it no problem, but I'd much prefer to have this on PS3 or 360 since it would then have online play. Wii of course can do online play, but for some reason I doubt they'd do it. :/

RIght, Capcom USA. We don't know about this game because there are several issues:
-It's likely on a Wii-compatible hardware board.
-It runs at 480p, not 720p.
-More importantly, it's using a ton of licensed characters that are owned by a lot of different copyright holders outside of Japan. It would take too much money to secure them all, which is why many think this game will not be released outside Japan, and they will use the engine for something else. Rumors of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 abound

G4 reported that Capcom will no longer produce console-exclusive software. Which means any future games they made will be multiplatform. And since Street Fighter IV is multi, we can expect the home version to get the same treatment too.
.....Which means PS3 owners are doggone lucky as the console is region free.

We don't know what platform this is coming out on. There are strong rumors abound that this game is running on Wii-based hardware.

Hate to say it, but screw you Capcom for not bringing this game to the US. At the very least, PS3 owners are happy they can import this game as the PS3 has no Region Locks.
