  • The operator knew where you were standing and he knew where his bucket was going to pass in front of you. The only danger to you would have been yourself. - Glad you're ok.

  • @specialks1953 The bucket passed too close. Later we asked the operator, he stated he hasn`t seen me. Yes, I am a lucky bastard. I could be dead now, I am sure.

  • @emmanuelrod Why the hell are you so close? Stupid.

  • @MechanicEngineer78 The mine owner didn't tell me anything about safety. I was there to get a few shots in order to make an institutional movie.

  • yeah i get sick of people in where i am operating, and then there is the ones u dont realise that are there nearly killed a few people. and no a hardhat ain't gonna do jack shit with a bucket think about it i can break through concrete with a bucket let alone plastic and skull and that is in a 5 ton cat

  • @nshar24 . And there was a 6 metre 18ft cliff right behind me where the bucket would have thrown me over.

  • man i cant see a guy in this vid all i see is dirt bein dug up wheres the guy that almost got hit?

  • The operator wasn't looking for a cameraman on top of his spoil pile. That's the last place you expect someone, but then again, the cameraman was probably some city slicker who thought that his pushmower was heavy equipment until he got to the site that day. Never get in the swing radius of a hoe, even if the operator sees you, unless you are performing some task for him.

  • This is a case of unsafe, operator and camera operator.

The operator in most cases is below average, the average ones are driving the trucks.

Trust me, most construction workers are not scientists on vacation!

Yes, most equipment operators are unable to move above this position, otherwise they would be CDL drivers and crane operators.

  • @emmanuelrod you can get the same angles with the zoom on your camera man
