@madabbafan Because of BT's monopoly. I remember we were very conscious on making any phone calls due to high rate BT charges.

The days when BT didn't have to advertise to get business - they still had the monopoly on the phone service.

Question: How would she know which item to reserve by phone ? You'd need to go to the shop to see what they had / what they were like etc, wouldn't you ?
