@carahgus The inspiration was the native plant communities on the Northern California Coast. In these communities plants grow to each others margins and completely cover the landscape with a woven tapestry that changes with every bend of the land. Thank you, you have noticed what I had set out to create. Bare areas in a landscape only invite weeds to flourish and increase the level of maintenance.

@bcdrummer Yes, my garden is in Fremont, CA, the south end of SF Bay. I is a great place for succulents. We really should see more of them in landscape here with less sod lawns.
