I am speaking from a teacher perspective- Great for a nice intro into the book, Flatland. According to the novel, woman are lines, though. Also, circles do not exist in Flatland. However, if you are not trying to be 'true to the book', who cares. It illustrates the concepts and ideas in the book.

There is no such thing as the 4th dimension, or the 3rd. By this i mean dimensions cannot be listed in order from 1 to 4. The world has "4" dimensions, not a "4th" dimension. any of the 4 dimensions could be thought of as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th. You said that the spacial dimensions are affected by time: this is not exactly correct, dimensions don't affect each other, they are part of each other. time extends the 3 spacial dimensions infinitly and makes it into a 4d string of 3d spaces.

The novel ends with the citizen of Flatland who's shown the truth being imprisoned for life and considered insane by others... so yeah.

You should read the novel. The concept of god is explored, represented by a single point existing in a universe without dimensions, thus making that point the entirety of its universe: "God." Incapable of understanding anything other than himself, the single point sees Square and Sphere as figments of his own creation, extensions of himself and his power.

The Flatland novel this is based on is much darker. The leaders of Flatland execute or imprison anyone who knows of higher dimensions. The main character, a square, is shown the truth by a sphere and eventually is imprisoned for the rest of his life and thought of as insane for trying to spread the truth of higher dimensions.
