Boeing test pilots have subjected the new 747-8 Freighter to some extreme testing. The plane has been dragged, dropped, soaked, forced to hover, shudder and flutter.

  • @ryan1111111555555555 A380 imo is overkill. It just feels like a "lets build the biggest thing because we can" marker. Yea sure, its the first full doubledecker jet, but i think its a bit much. Its good im sure when they can consistently fill it to cap, but when they cant, ill bet it drains money to fly.

  • @ryan1111111555555555 Being well aware of the Fate that befell the Titanic, you shouldn't call it that lol I think the 747-8 is among the most beautiful aircraft ever made. And honestly, I consider Boeing to be the standard in aircraft design and production. Not a knock on their rival Airbus, but I just think that Boeing, given it's history and experience makes a more pilot friendly plane, and better looking ones too.

  • Anyone able to link to a reliable source giving information on the materials the 747-8 is built from? I've been reading about new aluminium alloys etc making it lighter but can't find any reputable sources giving the info...

  • great video

  • Wow. Some of that made me cringe, especially the stall testing!

  • i would be soo scared to stall that plane

  • dont know if i like this one or a380. they both look really nice :)

  • @MynameisElliott I prefer the looks of the A380, it reminds me of a cruise ship, 2 solid decks, its a flying Titanic!

  • @batmanh20 You fall to the Earth crash and most likely... die.

  • @DeniskaFromRussia The big "fin" on top of the tail? That is the vertical stabilizer. The thing under it when it's doing velocity minimum is like a little pad to prevent damage to airplane. They don't want to ruin a perfectly good airplane just for a test. Normal running aircraft do not have these.
