  • this seems like it's just a bunch of catchphrases, couldn't the people actually talk about their experiences more specifically? There are only a few moments in the video when a get an impression of what self-advocacy actually means.

  • The video was made a number of years ago (long before it was posted here) for internal use so people with intellectual disabilities could help introduce other people with intellectual disabilities to the concept of self-advocacy. The "catchphrases" are terms that everyone was learning for the first time. What self-advocacy actually "means" is best expressed by people living their lives as full citizens, which hopefully you see demonstrated many other videos on our channel. Thanks for watching.
