My favorite movie of all time. I am obsessed with this film and don't fully understand why. Maybe it satisfies some sense of JUSTICE existing in the world. And, of course, it is so very beautiful in every way. I'd like to TO LIVE in this film.

Amazing theme.... love the light, the way her gown brushes over the lawn, the muffled voices of the family in the drawing room, the birds at sunset, the way she takes in that moment of time... when all in her life seems so right. Just another classic by Merchant & Ivory... all time favourite - of course we need to thank Mr. E.M.Forster for his classic take on Class structure, and struggle as well as human relationships.
