@chrisluvjh VANOS adjusts the opening and closing timing of the valve by physically moving the cam. Valvetronic changes the lift of the valve. You have to understand how valve lift and valve timing work for it to fully make sense.

It's the same technology and to be honest I don't see the difference in the two videos except that on this one the springs that return the pusharm are not illustrated and on the second video they are.

Actually there's nothing wrong. That's the whole point, changing the valve timing and it's done by that "swtich" ot the left hand side of the cam which changes the profile of the push-arm.
