Students in Texas are finding out about their peers being brutalized and even fatally injured in Texas schools by their educators. They are disappointed in their Texas and US Government leaders who know this is going on and can stop the abuse.
During the month of March 2011, activist for ending US "school corporal punishment," will be holding campaign rallies in Austin and other parts of Texas.

First of all have you ever worked at a school, to have this sort of opinion and supposed information. I havent heard of beatings and every parent at time of registration sign a corporal punishment permission letter. Get informed!!!!

@GreetingsFrmDublin Hi GreetingsFrmDublin,
There are a number of deaths related to the variety of forms of US school corporal punishment and I can help you access a list of more than 200. For starters, please read pp 15-17 of the 2009 GAO report.
Go to The Hitting Stops Here dot Commm. On our Home page, see Obama's photo. Below see link to the GAO report...that one made the news. Thank you for your interest. Paula Flowe

I'm 18 and I have been a student in public schools in Texas. They ONLY school I've been to that has had any sort of "paddling" was at Bussey Middle School in Garland,Tx. The parents gave permission to the coaching staff in boys athletics. This would only happen when a student in athletics has done something extreme.

Usually 'paddling'/'spanking e.c.t/ is sexual harrassment, unless it's a paddle on the hand or somewhere not near the private area of the body. It is horrorfying that schools in Texas/ and in certain other places allow this kind of behavior to still go on on purpose. It's not like it can become abuse, it is abuse, end of story. If some person told me to bend over/or put me in a position to make physical contact with my behind I would most likely punch them, no matter who they are.

Good video. I really think, that if one student in a school is paddled, the students in that school should simply walk out for the day. Also, parents need to call the school and let them know that they do not want any student in that school paddled. The type of demonstration held here needs to be held at a number of paddling schools. Principals will stop paddling if they are worn down with persistence.

Great video Paula Flowe! Keep up the good work, I support you all the way! I wish I was down there protesting with all of you, but it's way too far away from my home state of Ohio.
