it's all a matter of taste. competitive shooting is legitimate as a past time as playing and instrument. both take still and are enjoyable pastimes

the only thing id like you to do differently would be to clear your weapon without the bad habit on putting your hand over the gun and near the muzzle

Someday I want to have a license to shoot some pistol. I only shot M16A1 once and MAR(Miniature Assault Rifle) most of time when I served. I still don't forget the thick gun powder layer on my right side of my face after shooting multiple hundred rounds in summer.(my skin absorbed it)
