Your comments are ridiculous! Truly an insult to history! How can you compare VARENNE the stronger trotter of all time ...with horses that did not win even 1/10 of what he won. This is really the typical American ignorance, people are tired of you! The Americans believe that Europe is a nation. I recommend everyone to watch the video "Americans are NOT stupid - WITH SUBTITLES". Fortunately, there's Wikipedia, you can make a comparison between VARENNE and all horses you want!

Muscle Hill and Verenne both hit the 3 quarter pole and exact same time also...Varennes driver

was whipping and slashing...And Brian Sears on Muscle Hill looked like he was on a lazyboy

watching tv...Now you tell me who was the better horse

LoL Driver was really pushing this horse to the wire and he went 1:51.1..Watch the 2009 Hambletonian and you will see the best trotter...It is hard to say Muscle Hill was the best

because he was so lightly raced..But the mile he ran in the Hambo was the most impressive miles i have ever seen by a trotter..

@jimhughes32 San Pail will never be considered alongside Varenne and Moni Maker unless he's matched differently. Yes, he's the best aged North American trotter but Moni Maker and Varenne won lots races in Europe and North American on different tracks and different distances against different opposition, including the two biggest races in Europe, Prix d'Amerique and Elitloppet. San Pail needs to do that - or something similar - to be a true elite trotter.

great race by a great trotter in his time but the now we have a canadian sensation a great trotter and his name is SAN PAIL who's has the potential of breaking world records and soon will be considered in elite company with varenne and moni maker if you like trotters check him out this weekend on saturday at the breeders crown when two french invaders rapide lebel and commander crowe at woodbine in toronto canada will try to give sanpail a run for his money as i say will try lol
