Blender does not lag. It lags if you use a lot of faces.

When I try to make a texture to put on my model. It works, but after I save it and come back to it later, it is transparent with no texture. Please help for this problem. I also am wondering how to make a little movie. I model space ships and want them to move and shoot. If you have any info please help me.

Concerning the cage, I don't remember exactly, several weeks with 1 or 2 hours per day. I'm not really a fast guy.
