USHL Highlight - Stephon Williams "bare hand" save

Waterloo Black Hawks goaltender Stephon Williams lost his glove during playoff game action but it didn't stop him from making a save with his bare hand. It was one of 29 saves he made on May 7th, 2012 in the 6-2 victory over Lincoln to win Game Four of the series and advance to the Clark Cup Final. I played goalie for about 14 years of my life, im not impressed.

It would have been much better if A. he didnt purposely take his glove off to do it (if it had fallen off somehow) and B. he didnt think he was such a badass. It wasnt that badass.. sorry bro

if you did play goalie then you'd know that you're likely going to flub the save if the glove is sliding off.. I think what he did is dangerous as he could've broken his hand with a strong shot but that wasn't showing off...

Yes because somebody's going to purposely take off their glove to 1. lose coverage and 2. lose protection. And even if he was raising his hand to show off (he wasn't) in this situation, it's warranted. When's the last time you made a barehanded save?

Don't know why his glove came off. Did it get tangled in the net when he released from the post? Also, for you morons that think he was trying to show off, he was raising his hand to get a stoppage in play, which is warranted in the event a goalie loses protective equipment. I would think that even a terd playing goal for 14 years would recognize that.
