Jeff Millar-Sax, Caleb Quaye, Ron Bienstock, Rob Gottfried (aka: Rob the Drummer) David Gartland and last minute addition on keys, Johnny H, perform the Dave Mason classic. As usual, no rehearsal or sound check - add to it the rough ambience of performing at a trade show without any monitors, and you can understand why I love playing with these guys. They are just awesome!

  • greaaaat jam Jeff!!!

  • Thank you so much! It was a ton of fun. These guys can really play and it makes it such a comfortable/joyous experience. Ron's my favorite bassist of all time and Caleb - well what can be said that hasn't already, except that he is as wonderful a person as he is a musician. David is a jewel of a human. Rob should be behind a kit where he can really drive a band, and Johnny was just amazing as a pinch-hitter. All in all, a great vibe - even in that venue. Rock on! JMS

  • Wow! What an atmosphere, folks just walking by ignoring you! LOL Caleb's solos were great - what brand of guitar? Looks like a Ricky knock-off. And what an interesting "crime scene" guitar strap, intrepidsinger! At any rate, great job guys!

  • Hi Iris! Thanks so much for checking it out and for your kind and sympathetic comments. I think the only gig that was rougher was playing at a bowling alley many years ago! LOL! Caleb's guitar is his signature model from Brazen Guitars - a small boutique guitar company from Southern Cal. They make great guitars. However, he could make a stick with rubber bands sound incredible. Mine's a Saga (hence the venue) - made for me. Truly my favorite in my arsenal. (shameless plug?) All the best. JMS

  • Thank you soooo much! It has been a long time. I owe it to the guy who took the time to film this. Michael did a super job in rough circumstances - dodging people walking the aisles and trying to figure out what we were doing at the same time. You truly captured what I was feeling - total comfort with my band mates. They made it so easy and they rocked so well - especially in those unorthodox conditions. I cannot wait to play with them again!
